Maryland Medical Cannabis Evaluations for Adults

Maryland residents ages 18 and older may request an evaluation to determine whether medical cannabis certification may be appropriate. Maryland conditions that may qualify include cachexia, anorexia, wasting syndrome, severe or chronic pain, severe nausea, seizures, severe or persistent muscle spasms, glaucoma, PTSD, or another chronic, severe medical condition for which other treatments have been ineffective.

Certification is not automatic. A provider registered with the Maryland Cannabis Administration must establish a bona fide provider-patient relationship, review your health history, and determine whether medical cannabis is an appropriate treatment option for you.

Cannabis can cause side effects and may impair attention, judgment, coordination, and driving ability. Discuss potential risks, benefits, and alternatives with your healthcare provider. Do not drive or operate machinery while impaired.

Request an Evaluation.

An appointment does not guarantee certification.
